Our AGM was successful, thank you to the old committee and a big hello to the new committee, there will be plenty happening shortly in preparation for the 2023 Season.
Presentation was held which was a great day! Kids and families had a wonderful time.
Junior club person Award – outstanding contribution to the club throughout the season. Caleb
Senior club person Award – outstanding contribution to the club throughout the season. Alison
Corey Russell Award. Kelly
In 2009 a new trophy was introduced to commemorate Corey Russell from the AA men’s side who was sadly killed in a motor vehicle accident in Londonderry during the season. Corey was a popular figure in our all age prem side and was renowned for being a thoroughly committed and courageous player irrespective of what was happening to the team. With that in mind, our club named an award after him and each year we try to nominate someone from our club – not necessarily a player that has shown courage and determination, often in the face of adversity.

Jack Putland Award (President Award). Simon

Jack Putland was a larger than life character at our club in more ways than one and gave a lot of time to the club coaching and managing his grandchildren as well as being secretary for a few seasons. He was also a big St George fan and could be seen around the district flying two flags from his vehicle irrespective of the fortunes of the team. Jack must have seen life as a reflection of himself as one year he had the responsibility of ordering new shirts and shorts and somehow the club ended up with a whole kit of 4XL shorts and shirts that never saw the light of day. He also had a weird sense of numbering. The club had some explaining to do to our governing body when one of our teams presented in shirt numbered from 90 to 106. He never did manage to explain that one.
